Weekly wrap-up : number eight

The weekly wrap-up is my way of keeping my loyal readers informed of my bookish activities and holding myself to my bookish obligations. The questions may change slightly depending on the week.

Q: What are you reading right now?
A: The Distant Hours by Kate Morton and A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

Q: Why are you reading it? Business? Pleasure? For review?
A: I'm reading The Distant Hours for review, but am really enjoying it. I'm reading A Christmas Carol as part of The Lost Entwife's December readalong. I posted my thoughts on the first week of the readalong here.

Q: What was the last thing you read?
A: My Reading Life by Pat Conroy

Q: What do you plan to read next?
A: Next up is Tapestry of Love by Rosy Thornton

Q: Why do you want to read it?
A: I received a copy for review from the author.

Q: What books did you acquire?
A: Purchased: Peregrine by William Bayer, The Rheingold Route by Arthur Maling, Catch Me: Kill Me by William H. Hallahan, Billingsgate Shoal by Rick Boyer - All of these are in preparation for my Edgar Awards Reading Challenge.
LibraryThing Early Reviewer: Three Seconds by Anders Roslund and Borge Hellstrom
From publicist: Last Writes by Sheila Lowe
From publisher: Guilt by Association by Marcia Clark
Giveaway win: The Wolves of Andover by Kathleen Kent

  1. I'm curious as to what you thought of the Pat Conroy book :)
Good luck with your Edgar Challenge...I'm not much of a mystery reader, but I'll be cheering you on!
